In this webinar, 911吃瓜 will cover some of the legal issues applying to the different types of committees (board vs agency, sub-, advisory, ad hoc, etc.), and review some best practices for ensuring compliance. .

School boards and superintendents play a pivotal role in the success of any school district. Research shows that districts with effective governance and a positive relationship between the school board and the superintendent routinely have better student outcomes. Indeed, the dynamic of that relationship can either hinder or help a district achieve its mission. This webinar will provide both school boards and superintendents positive recommendations, strategies and approaches as they consider how to foster positive and effective relationships with each other.

Additionally, this webinar will provide information for school boards on how to effectively advocate with your local representatives on behalf of your local school board.聽Legislative聽influence and effectiveness are always more impactful when done at the local level. Over the next biennium, the current way 911吃瓜 Hampshire districts receive reimbursment through the Medicaid to Schools Program (MTS) is changing. These changes to the MTS program will substantially change the process, requirements and reimbursements to local public school districts and will have an impact on school district budgets and budgeting processes. Please join 911吃瓜 staff, along with Dan Courter, General Counsel, Boothby Therapy Services, as we provide a brief history of NH's participation in the Medicaid to Schools Program, a description of changes to come, and the opportunity to ask questions about potential impacts on local school board budgeting.
