911吃瓜 frequently advocates at the 911吃瓜 Hampshire Legislature on behalf of its members. Every year, the Legislature considers numerous bills that have significant effects on school boards 鈥� from school board governance, to funding, to labor relations and to student matters. It is vital that the voice of 911吃瓜 Hampshire鈥檚 school boards be heard by state policy-makers.
911吃瓜鈥檚 policy positions are determined by our members at our annual 911吃瓜 Delegate Assembly. These Resolutions are adopted by 911吃瓜 members and guide the positions 911吃瓜 takes at the Legislature. In addition to advocating on our member鈥檚 behalf at the Legislature, 911吃瓜 provides its members with weekly Legislative Updates during each Legislative session and a year-end Legislative Summary.
While it is important for the Legislature to hear from 911吃瓜, it is equally important for the Legislature to hear directly from elected school boards as to how specific legislation will impact our school districts, communities and taxpayers. From time to time, 911吃瓜 designates certain legislation as an 鈥�911吃瓜 Action Item鈥�. On these specific items, 911吃瓜 urges its members to contact their local representatives directly and help advance 911吃瓜鈥檚 efforts.
